THERAPY FOR BURNOUT & EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Therapy for the helpers, healers and leaders caught up in cycles of overwork and overgiving. Let’s heal the patterns that didn’t start with you.

UNCOVER THE PATTERNS

Understand the unconscious cycles that shape how you show up at work and in your relationships.

Gold geometric shapes with radiating lines form a symmetrical, abstract design on a black background.

HEAL LEARNED RESPONSES

Tend to the wounds and conditioned reactions that allow old fears and dynamics to run the show.

A golden asterisk-like starburst with eight thick lines radiating from the center on a white background.

Release imposed roles and expectations and build a life based on your values, boundaries, and inner guidance.

CLAIM YOUR AUTHORITY

Unravel the patterns of inherited survival.
Embody the gift of inner wisdom.

You can break the cycle of carrying it all and still show up for the people that matter most. My unique therapy style helps untangle the cycles that leave you feeling depleted, anxious, and unfulfilled so you can hear your own voice and live in ways that reflect who you are now, not who you’ve had to be.

Therapy for old patterns that won’t stay in the past.

You’re good at supporting others.
People rely on you.
And when you’re the one who needs support, you hesitate—not because you don’t want it, but because the people around you are already stretched thin, or you’re unsure who can really hold the type of space you need.

Over time, familiar cycles resurface. Overworking. Caretaking. Staying in problem-solving mode. You’ve tried slowing down, setting boundaries, even changing jobs or relationships. And yet, those same draining dynamics keep finding their way back.

If it feels like an internal tug-of-war — “I know better than this, so why can’t I do it?” — you’re not alone. Many self-aware people see these patterns clearly and still struggle to change them on their own.

Because this isn’t just an old habit.
It’s a deep-seated survival pattern.

And the harder you fight it, the more it pushes back.

Survival patterns don’t respond to logic or willpower. They only soften when they are met with understanding, safety, and space to heal.

How IT WORKS

Therapy that HEALS at the ROOT

We don’t just manage symptoms or focus on behavior in isolation. We look at the bigger picture—how systems, foundational experiences, and unconscious beliefs influence how you move through the world today. Here’s how:

Woman smiling at young child by a sofa, sunlight streaming in, laptop and papers from virtual therapy session on the floor nearby.
A cozy window seat with two cushions, ideal for a Minneapolis therapist office, under a lamp by a black window and white door.

UNDERSTAND THE ORIGIN
Explore where the responses come from—like family dynamics, cultural expectations, or collective survival—and notice how they shaped the way you show up today.

01.

HEAL WHAT’S BEEN HOLDING ON
As we work through the emotions and memories underneath the pattern, your nervous system begins to settle. What once felt like instinctive reactivity becomes a conscious choice.

02.

PRACTICE NEW WAYS OF RELATING
You’ll learn to respond differently in real time, in your relationships, at work, and with yourself, creating space for connection and rest.

03.

MAP THE PATTERN
Understanding the internal chain reaction that shows up in stress or conflict. These are the thoughts, emotions, and stories that fire before you even realize it.

04.

REBUILD SELF-TRUST
Heal the wounds that have stood between you and your inner voice and learn to listen to your body and intuition. You’ll see them as wise guides, not problems to fix or keep quiet.

05.

ANCHOR THE CHANGE
We’ll ground this new way of being in the future you’re moving toward. Now, you’re making choices that feel intentional and supportive of what’s next.

06.

What makes this therapy DIFFERENT

Let’s talk about what this space is and what it isn’t.

BEYOND THE BASICS

We don’t stay at the surface. At this stage of your growth, you deserve support for the deep and difficult things that haven’t had tending yet.

DEPTH + DIRECTION

The work is deep, but it’s not heavy for the sake of being heavy. It’s intentional, paced, and translates into change in your real life.

SAFE SPACE FOR “STRONG ONES”

For one hour, there are no fires to put out and no one who needs you, even if they think they do. Here, your needs are top priority.

ATTUNED TO COMPLEX IDENTITIES

You carry layered identities that are not linear, singular, binary, or fixed. Therapy here makes room for all of it, recognizing how these layers interact rather than treating them as separate or secondary.

SOUL-CENTERED

We’ve been taught to prioritize logic and our thinking minds over all else. But you have a body that sends you signals and a spirit that desires to be nourished. All of those pieces are a part of your well-being and are invited into this space.

DECOLONIZED LENS OF HEALING

Healing isn’t about fixing yourself to fit oppressive systems. It’s about reclaiming your wholeness, agency, and choice—within and beyond them. We work toward liberation, not perfection.

TO THE ONES WHO HOLD IT ALL TOGETHER

This is YOUR SPACE to exhale.

MEET YOUR THERAPIST
Danielle Houser, MS LPCC

My decade of clinical experience as a therapist confirms what we’ve known for a long time: the people who appear the strongest are the ones carrying the most.

That's why I'm here for the people everyone turns to — the purpose-driven, emotionally intelligent leaders who know how to save the day…but don’t always have the capacity to extend that same care to themselves (even when they want to).

My style of therapy goes deep
. You don't need more surface-level insight or coping techniques you could learn anywhere, but rather a therapist who can help you build new, lasting patterns — one who brings compassion, wisdom, and a deep understanding of the systems that shape us.

  • "I am really proud..."

“I took myself through the steps and I was able to understand the real reasons behind what I was doing. This week I have been able to self-soothe and not engage in the old pattern. I am really proud and I couldn’t have done that before our work together.”
    -K.B.

  • "A pivotal role in transformation"

“I am living the partnership I dreamed of and you told me not to give up on. Life continues to be bananas, but our connection has been the stable, life-giving force at the eye of the hurricane. You played a pivotal role in that transformation! I am very grateful.”
    -K.S.

  • "I have accepted my intuition..."

“Before it felt like everything was just stuck with me, stuck in my mind. I couldn’t let go of things I may have done wrong. Now, I can’t tell you anything, not one example from the week where I was worried about what someone else was thinking. I have accepted my intuition.”
    -B.C.

You’ve tried coping.
Let’s try healing.

Some patterns run deep, like muscle knots that keep showing up no matter how much you stretch. If these signs are showing up in your life, my style of therapy is for you.

UNWIND DEEP-SET PATTERNS THAT SHOW UP AS:

  • Having the same fight with your partner on repeat

  • A constant feeling of being on high-alert

  • Shutting down, pulling away or trying to smooth things over the instant a conflict shows up

  • Feeling the familiar guilt or “I should…” the moment you sense someone might have a need

  • Overthinking or bracing for the worst even when nothing is actually wrong

THERAPY FOR CYCLE BREAKERS

The old patterns kept you safe,
but they don’t need to keep you spinning.

You—and the ones who came before you—did what was needed to survive. Those strategies made sense then. And now, you have the opportunity to live differently, grounded in choice rather than reflex. Start with a free consultation.
